(Reuters) - Skyworks Solutions Inc (SWKS.O) reported a 12 percent rise in quarterly revenue as demand for its radio frequency chips used in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets increased.
Shares were up 6 percent in post-market trade, after closing at $22.45 on the Nasdaq on Thursday.
Net profit rose to $65.7 million, or 34 cents per share, in the third quarter, from $49.3 million, or 26 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 12 percent to $436.1 million.
Excluding items, the company earned 54 cents per share.
Skyworks makes radio frequency chips that allow cellphones to make and receive calls.
