(Reuters) - Textron Inc (TXT.N), the world's largest business aircraft maker, reported a 34 percent fall in quarterly profit as customers deferred purchases in an uncertain U.S. economy.

The maker of Cessna aircraft and Bell helicopters said second-quarter earnings from continuing operations fell to $114 million, or 40 cents per share, from $173 million, or 58 cents per share, a year earlier.
