A U.S. jury found the Korean company had copied critical features of the hugely popular iPhone and iPad and awarded the U.S. company $1.05 billion in damages. "In addition to Apple, we name Microsoft (MSFT.O) and Nokia as the main beneficiaries from this outcome," Nordea analyst Sami Sarkamies said in a research note. Nokia and its software partner Microsoft (MSFT.O) have been struggling to win ground from Samsung's Android-powered smartphones which lead the market.
